DO CHIROPRACTIC ADJUSTMENTS HURT?
The short answer – No! In fact, the majority of patients report feeling no pain at all during their adjustments. Most feel a wonderful relief from their pain with the adjustment. The chiropractic adjustment is quick and extremely effective at stopping pain!

HOW LONG DOES A TYPICAL VISIT TAKE?
Typically, the first visit is the longest, maybe up to 45 minutes. A typical treatment visit can be 10 to 20 minutes depending upon the type of treatment necessary.

HOW MANY VISITS WILL I NEED?
The length of a treatment program can vary depending upon many different factors. Such factors include: the severity and duration of the problem as well as your own recuperation power as well as how compliant you are with your program.

WHY DOES IT TAKE MULTIPLE VISITS TO FIX MY PROBLEM?
A physical fitness routine and chiropractic care very similar: it takes time to retrain the ligaments and muscles. WHY DO YOU TAKE X-RAYS?
In some cases, the cause of the patient’s pain may be due to hidden causes, that is where X-rays come in: they enable the doctor to actually see the conditions of the bone, noting any pathology or deformity. The correct diagnosis is a major factor in a speedy recovery and x-rays allow Dr. Elsey to make the most accurate diagnosis possible. This also allows Dr. Elsey to determine which is the most appropriate chiropractic method or technique to use as well as treatment plan.

DO I NEED A REFERRAL FROM MY M.D.?
In most cases, a referral from an M.D. is not necessary to see a Doctor of Chiropractic. The only exception could be a specific insurance plan, it is always a good choice to consult your insurance provider to get a list of preferred providers in your area.
